Well, if you are a fan of the reality series Bondi Rescue, this is the place to visit. You may be in luck and spot the infamous Hoppo, Harries, Chappo or Deano. The professional lifeguards (red tops) are on duty 365 days a year. So you are in safe hands. This is an iconic Sydney beach with golden sand, surf breaks and the famous Icebergs pool down the southern end. People, pets, dancers, and hot bodies as far as the eyes can see.
Great beach, very busy during summer months, surf can be a little patchy. Great people watching. If the sand is not for you, you can always perch yourself or set up camp for the day on the "grassy knoll". Always swim between the flags, and if you want sushi afterwards check out Raw Bar down the far end of the beach, set back on the road.
Getting there
A few options; Catch the #389 bus from the City. Uber is about $30 from 4Bridge. Train from Wynyard Station to Bondi Junction and walk or bus down to the beach.
